This interview was conducted with Hugo Rivera

I have been following Hugo’s teachings for some time now and to be honest with you I don’t think I would be where I am today without his knowledge. I came from being obese to being as fit as I have ever been in my life and you can too. Read the following interview and get some understanding of who would be teaching you as well as the knowledge which he has to offer you.

1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

My formal education background believe it or not is in Computer Engineering. I graduated from the University of South Florida back in 1998. So the question is: how did I end up from engineering to being a competitive bodybuilder and best selling fitness author?

Well, I actually used to be very overweight as I was growing up so at an early age I experienced the feelings of insecurity that come along with obesity as well as the scorn and ridicule from some people. Since I kept hearing that the reason for my weight problems was food and that I had to stop eating, I took the advice to heart being sick and tired of how I looked and felt.

So this resulted in me going anorexic at the age of 13 and losing a total of 70 pounds in less than a year. My family, very concerned about my health, took me to a nutritionist in an effort to put some sense in me and stop the anorexic cycle.

This nutritionist mentioned one thing that changed my outlook on dieting forever: “Eating food will not make you fat; only the abuse of the wrong sort of foods will.” After listening to that statement, it all seemed to make sense. I then began following the diet she gave me and started to study the effects of foods on the human physiology.

By the age of fifteen my interest in how food affects the shape and the form of your body naturally led to an interest in the area of exercise.

2. So how did you get started with bodybuilding and what led you to become a fitness author with a website?

The reason I started bodybuilding is because a girl that I really liked back then told me that I would look better if I had some muscle on me. She said that though I looked good, I was too skinny. Keep in mind that anorexia left me weighing a bit less than 100-lbs.

So I asked my mom to get me a muscle magazine, the May 1990 Muscle & Fitness (which I still have to this day) so that I could educate myself on the subject. After I saw an article called: “How To Get BIG” written by the one and only, Arnold Schwarzenegger, I was hooked! To me, Arnold just looked perfect so I chose him as the role model to follow. I also got inspired by the physiques of Lee Labrada, Shawn Ray, and Francis Benfatto who were competing extremely successfully back then. To me, all of these guys exemplified perfection, real works of art. They all ate 6 times a day and trained hard day in and day out.

So I simply started with following the training program and diet laid out by Arnold on his article. As I was so underweight and skinny at the time, even with Arnold’s training, which was pretty much overtraining, I still gained 40lbs during the summer. A proper six meal a day diet and regular training with me being very underweight really pushed on the muscle mass even if I did gain a little fat as well, but it was amazing to me and all my friends thought I was on steroids! Yet, I did not even have a clue of what steroids where at that time!

Come to think of it, I guess that I was “on steroids” due to the fact that I was a teenager back then producing tons of hormones (yes guys, if you are teenagers then you are on the most powerful stack of anabolic steroids; the one produced by your own body! This, in conjunction with the fact that once I started to feed myself 6 times eating around 3,500-4,000 calories a day, made me grow beyond belief on a daily basis and I guess this is what got me really hooked and led me to become an avid natural bodybuilder.

After, gaining all that mass, I reached a plateau unfortunately; a sticking point I could not get past. As much as I loved Arnold I realized a natural bodybuilder like me could not keep up with the routines of professional bodybuilders who were taking drugs and so I took to reading countless books in my quest to find a perfect system.

The frustrating problem was that I started getting exposed to absolutely contradicting theories on how to best gain muscle and lose fat. Upset at the fact that no one could give me a straight answer I decided to take matters in my own hand and use myself as well as my training partner as guinea pigs in order to find out what worked. This was the first time I really knew that I was going to create my own system as I was going to test everything on myself, my training partner and friends in order to find out what worked and what didn’t so that I could then throw out the bad and keep the good.

I started my quest by recording everything I did down to the last detail. I’m quite analytical as a person, which is I guess why I became an engineer years later, but even early It showed as I read every book and article everywhere I could get my hands on. I was like a sponge for information, reading stuff from trainers from all over the world. I started to put together training routines and diet programs, and while some failed miserably some worked!

For instance, I will never forget what happened when I went from training 2-3 hours a day to training for 45 minutes. I went through a growth spurt again! So through endless training routines and diet combinations I started to really understand what worked and what didn’t for me and my training partners. I started finding principles and patterns of training that seemed to work on everyone I tried them on. Above all, the most exciting part of my discoveries was the fact that there was no necessity to stay all day at the gym in order to get results! Because I felt that not many people in the industry cared about trainees actually reaching their goals, I decided to create a web site and start conducting personal training during my college years in an effort to spread all of the knowledge that I had acquired.

Once I had dialed in the timing, frequency and the important details of training and nutrition cycling, that is when I decided to come up with the Body Re-Engineering System. It was at this point that I became passionate about sharing my knowledge with people as I fully understood I could help to double everyone’s results at the gym in half the time if they would employ my training and nutrition cycling principles.

Because I needed to put together a website in order to graduate from Engineering school (that was my Senior Project) that is how I started to post my first few fitness articles, and not much later have the first version of my Body Re-Engineering System. Notice that it took me from the time I was 14 years old to after I graduated from college to learn all the secrets to muscle building and fat loss on my own. However, with my Body Re-Engineering System, I am confident that I can save anyone from all the troubles.

3. What is it about bodybuilding that you love so much?

The fact that bodybuilding can instill in you an amount of discipline that can be applied to all other aspects of your life and thus make you successful. In addition, I love the fact that bodybuilding allows you to completely take control of your image and achieve a sculpted look that enables you to feel better about yourself and thus be more confident. This added confidence will serve to help you in achieving any goal you set for yourself. It will also help to improve your relationships and your career as well.

In addition, the health benefits derived from practicing bodybuilding such as higher energy levels, low blood pressure, good cholesterol and a better love life, just to name a few, make it all worth it. And of course, who cannot enjoy the feeling of a good pump at the gym???!!!

4. Tell us about your Body Re-Engineering System? What is this e-book about?

Body Re-Engineering is the culmination of over 15 years of trial and error of different training and nutrition strategies.

With the principles presented in Body Re-engineering, not only will bodybuilders double their results from each workout and cut their supplement bill, but they’ll also get to greatly accelerate results in terms of massive muscle gains and fat loss.

The key to Body Re-engineering is the cycling principle. Body Re-Engineering uses this principle in both the nutrition and the workout elements of the program.

Workouts are cycled in such a way that through the use of the right exercises and the manipulation of training volume, intensity, and rest in between sets, you create a unique metabolic situation whereby the body has to over compensate in order to adapt to the unique training phases. As a result, muscle mass gains and fat loss are accelerated dramatically.

The diet in the Body Re-Engineering program cycles calories, carbohydrates, and even protein to trick the body into releasing body fat while pushing nutrients into the muscle cell in order to increase size and strength. The diet is based on your individual metabolism and what your fitness goals are.

Body Re-Engineering is versatile as not only can it be used by those looking to gain muscle size and weight but also by the more casual lifter simply looking to lose fat, harden up and tone to look good for the beach. And best of all, it works equally well for men and women of any age and results are guaranteed regardless of genetics.

As you can see from the pictures of me as a kid on my losefatandgainmuscle.com site, I had terrible genetics; I was overweight and then very skinny, but despite bad genetics, if you have the determination to consistently apply body re-engineering, I guarantee you will achieve great results.

I wrote Body Re-Engineering in the manner I would have liked to have read a book back when I started. My ideal book would have included information on goal setting, visualization, training, nutrition, supplementation, rest and recovery, etc. In addition, the writing style would have been such that would be easy to read and above all, practical and easy to follow. One, two, three format so to speak and zero guesswork. If engineering taught me something was to be precise and to logically arrange information. Because of that, it was very easy for me to put a manual together that would meet of all these criteria.

5. Is Body Re-Engineering just for bodybuilders?

Well, my definition of a bodybuilder is anyone that uses weights, cardiovascular exercise, and nutrition to re-shape their physique. So by this definition, it is just for bodybuilders. However, if the question refers to the program just exclusively being for people who want to make large gains in muscle and hit low single levels of body fat for competition then the answer is no. Anyone can use this program regardless of what the goals are. If losing fat weight is your goal, then this system will help you achieve that faster than by just dieting alone. If your goal is competitive bodybuilding then this will help you get there as well.

6. Can you expand further on the topic of the Cycling Principle?

Absolutely.A big problem encountered by bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts is the fact that they plateau (stop making gains) after a few weeks of using a specific bodybuilding program. The way to do fix that is to make use of the cycling principle, which is the principle that forms the basis of my successful Body Re-Engineering program.

The routines of my Body Re-Engineering program change in an orderly manner that takes the body to the brink of overtraining and then allows it to recover, and thus, overcompensate (grow) in response to the stress. These changes are what the cycling principle is all about.

The Cycling Principle is the key to consistent and rapid increases in muscle mass and strength for the bodybuilder. This principle states that in order for the body to respond optimally, it cannot be trained in the same manner all the time and that the best way to make the body respond is through the correct variation of exercises, volume (number of sets times number of reps), intensity (how heavy the weight is), and rest periods between sets.

Workout parameters are going to be determined by the phase of the program you are in. There are going to be three phases that we will be repeating over and over again. The first week will be an “Active Recovery Phase”. In this phase you will only train with weights twice a week on a full body routine before you start the next phase which will be called the “Loading Phase”. The “Loading Phase”, which is three weeks in duration, is going to be a high volume phase with short rest between sets. Training volume gradually increases over the course of the three weeks in order to stress the body almost to the point of overtraining.

Then the next three weeks are going to be a higher intensity/lower volume phase (heavier weights) with longer periods of rest between sets. This phase is called the “Growth Phase”, as volume is reduced but weights are increased in order to let the body catch up and super compensate (grow muscle size and strength).

The Active Recovery Phase

The Active Recovery Phase has three main functions:

  • First, according to leading strength expert Tudor Bompa, Ph.D., “you are trying to adapt the anatomy of the body to the upcoming training so that you can create, or produce an injury free environment”. Essentially, your tendons and ligaments should be strong enough to support the stressful periods that will follow.
  • Second, this phase is a great time to address any strength imbalance that your body might have. This is the reason why mostly dumbbell work will be used during this phase.
  • Finally, this phase will act as a great time in which the body will re-charge its energy stores and allow for complete physical and mental recuperation.

The Loading Phase

  • During the Loading Phase the body is stressed with an increasing high volume of work that if kept for too long will eventually result in overtraining and injury. During this phase, three things will happen:
  • The growth hormone output goes through the roof due to the short rest interval between sets and the high volume.
  • Hypertrophy (muscle growth) occurs by the body increasing the levels of creatine, water and carbohydrates inside the muscle cell. This phenomenon is called muscle voluminization.
  • The body’s recuperation capabilities are upgraded in response to the stress imposed by the increasing volume of work coupled with short rest intervals.

The Growth Phase

During the Growth Phase the body is not stressed by volume. This time the stimuli are heavy weights. If this phase would be kept for too long eventually the body would stop making strength gains and you would plateau. This is the reason why you always need to go back to a Loading Phase. During this phase the following three things will happen:

  • The testosterone levels go through the roof in response to the longer rest in between sets and the heavier weights. >
  • Hypertrophy (muscle growth) occurs by the body increasing the actual diameter of the myofiber (the muscle fiber size) through increased protein synthesis (Note: protein synthesis is creating protein strands through DNA and RNA and it takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell.)
  • Since your body’s recuperation abilities were built up to the maximum by the previous phase and the volume has gone down dramatically, these extra recuperation abilities are used to increase strength and build more muscle mass. The reason the body does this is in order to be prepared for another stressful period like the one it just went through. This adaptation mechanism is the one that ensures the survival of the species.
  • Even if you are training for fat loss, your main goal should always be to stimulate growth. Otherwise, if you were to drastically reduce training poundage in order to perform a lot of high reps, there would be no reason for the body to keep the muscle around. Because of this, you should always train with muscle growth in mind and let the nutrition and the cardiovascular exercise take care of reducing your body fat levels.

Using Cardio and Resistance Training for a Complete Fat Loss Program

There seems to be some of you out there that seem to think that just because you are an active individual that fat loss should come naturally, however that is not meeting all the requirements needed to achieve successful and permanent fat loss, there are other important issues to be considered into the equation which when incorporated into your program will allow you to be successful.

First on the list must be your nutritional intake with the proper macronutrient combination, without that the rest of your program will be in vain. Strength training must be a part of any program, it will add muscle which in turn will burn calories and then you must get the proper amount of sleep. All three of these elements working together must be a part of any fat loss program and will allow you to reach the goals you want to achieve.

There is no magic pill out there that will take the place of those three parts in any program, although there are some individuals that seem to think there is. There seems to be a new pill coming out every week that claims you can eat what you want and still get rid of the fat, well let me tell you that is nothing more than bullshit, it takes hard work and determination to shed that fat and if someone tells you any different I would run because all there after is your hard earned money.

Anyone who has read my articles knows that I don’t like the word “diet” but rather a lifestyle eating change because that is what you must do, nobody can diet forever and once you get tired of it and go back to eating again the fat comes back and usually more than you started with. Once the body makes fat cells they are with you for life, the body keeps them forever, you can deplete them of fat and they will shrink but never go away, that’s why when you start to eat normal again after your tired of your so called diet the fat comes back so fast, it fills the old cells that are already available quickly then has to create new ones and you end up heavier than when you started.

Strength training doesn’t have to mean pumping 300 lbs. of steel to be successful, body weight exercises are fine, dumbbells are fine or anything that gets those muscles working more that what there used to doing and you ladies don’t have to worry about bulging muscles unless that is your goal. Look at my wife’s picture, she shed the fat and toned up which allowed her muscles to become more visible but as you can see she isn’t bulging but rather very well toned.

If fat loss is your goal then cardio exercise has its place in your program, on your off days from resistant training or immediately after, it can accelerate your fat loss if used properly.  Eliminate that white processed flour and white sugar while feeding your body whole grains, vegetables, and fruits with 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day, add some kind of weight training, throw in a little cardio and get the proper amount of sleep and I assure you the fat will leave faster than you thought possible.

Obesity is Going to Plague you for the Rest of Your Shortened Life Unless you Make the Decision to Change Now

This may sound harsh to many of you reading this article but I’m not putting forth my time and effort to make you smile and feel all tingly inside, I’m trying to open your eyes and take a hard look at what is going to happen if you don’t make a change. Diabetes and heart problems are not something that you want in your future. As some of you may have seen through viewing my before and after pictures I was on that very road which you are traveling now, that is until I heeded the warning signs and made a complete turn around, the very thing which I’m suggesting you to do today. It is with the knowledge that I have acquired through my own experiences that I extend my hand out to you for support.

The road is full of pitfalls, it is easy to get lost and discouraged and it can be very hard to travel alone. The good news is that you don’t have to go it alone because there are people out here that will guide and support you every step of the way. I make myself available for anyone wanting guidance, support or motivation in order to continue on the proper path to a complete lifestyle change which will strengthen, exuberate and extend your life. There are so many good people to surround yourself with who will guide you in the proper direction and require nothing from you except your commitment to want a change.

I was miserable with a fat body, I was ashamed of the way I looked, my joints hurt me all the time, my cholesterol was way out of line, I was always tired, indigestion was just a common occurrence and if any sort of cold virus were going around I was the first one to catch one. My health was just in such a mess that I was always going to the Doctor for some ailment which would turn into another prescription of some kind to mask the symptoms. There is just no reason for someone to have to live that way all because we are ignorant of the simple steps required for ending it through a lifestyle change. I have gone from that low point in my life to currently being pictured in several bodybuilding books which are displaying my before and after photos. Goal setting and the power of the mind will take you anywhere you have a desire to go.

In order to get started it is important to go in for an examination by your Physician to make sure that there isn’t some underlying medical condition which is causing your obesity problem. Blood work is always a good approach because it will show the entire picture and give you a starting point. I make it an important priority to get mine done a minimum of once a year in order to see where I need to make any adjustments if need be. When your Physician gets the report make certain that he gives you a copy of it so you can do your own evaluation as well. I have found through my own experiences of examining the reports where the Doctor said everything was good there were areas that needed some attention in order to be optimal. If you do a little research on the internet you can find allot of information on reading your own reports. I am one of those individuals that want to be better than good, I want to be optimal.

It is possible to reverse many of today’s diseases simply by controlling what you put in your mouth. For a few minutes of chewing enjoyment you can jeopardize your health, is it truly worth it? Believe me, I enjoy junk food as much as the next person but it doesn’t control me the way it did in the past, I control it. No person has to go without a treat once in a while, it’s necessary at times so don’t ever tell yourself that you can never eat a certain food again, just plan for it. I love chocolate cake but I will not eat the ones that you buy in the store which are nothing but sugar and white flour, I developed my own version which is made with whole grain spelt flour, sugar free instant pudding mix, fat free milk and several other healthy ingredients and I feel there is not a cake on the market that will compare to it for richness and taste. I would be glad to share the recipe with anyone who would like to try it. I have converted many of my old favorite foods that were causing my health problems into healthy versions which I am more than happy to share with anyone interested.

Refined sugar and white flour are responsible for most of the obesity problems and can easily be eliminated from your eating habits. It doesn’t take a big change to make a dramatic difference in the way you look and feel, please believe me when I tell you that. My writings are on subjects which I have personally gone through myself and experienced first hand. You may be thinking to yourself, so it worked for him but it doesn’t mean that it will work for me, well I’m telling you that unless you try it you will never know. I have developed such a deep passion for helping others feel the same exhilaration that has enveloped me since my own transformation that I will do whatever I can in my power to plant a seed in your mind which will grow and flourish into a passion within you to become the person you know you can be.

Obesity in Our Children - It’s not Being Taken Serious Enough

I am probably going to upset some people with this article but I don’t feel we are trying hard enough in the area of reducing childhood obesity in this country. It has to start in the home where we are taught most things needed to begin life; values are set in us at a very young age that we build upon throughout the rest of our lives, those values act as our foundation. We are taught right from wrong; our manners are imbedded in us, our beliefs in religion along with many other principles and I feel that proper nutrition should start there as well. The parents can’t be setting on the couch watching television with a box of cream puffs and chips while teaching their children good nutritional habits.

I can understand the situations that many families face with the rising costs of putting good quality foods on the table every day but there are better alternatives than what is being offered to a great majority of children without breaking the budget. One example is replacing the high sugary breakfast cereals for old fashioned oatmeal with a bit of cinnamon added which is a good complex carbohydrate and will keep their blood sugar levels stable throughout the morning and is cheaper as well. With all the alternatives available today there is just no excuse for allowing children to eat junk for breakfast.

Children that eat their breakfast at school are another story. I understand that school meals are government subsidized but I feel that they could do much better in the area of sound nutritional choices. If you pick up a newspaper and look at the menu for the week you may be surprised at what is being served up. I don’t know about you but I don’t consider pizza, French fries, white bread, breaded chicken patties and hot dogs as nutritious foods. This great country of ours, the richest in the world, spends more money on worthless programs that study bugs than it does on filling our schools with nutritious foods for our children. There are some circumstances in which the child’s best source of nutrition for the day must come from the school meals provided.

There is no justifiable reason that we can’t make certain that every meal served in our schools are as high a nutritional standard as could be humanly possible. I challenge you to look into your schools menu and read for yourself what is being offered to your children. A good many schools are starting to remove the soft drinks but not nearly enough. One regular 12 ounce soft drink contains ten teaspoons of sugar, would you sit down and add that much sugar to your morning coffee? Children are starting their day off with a can or two every morning at school along with a chocolate bar or cake from the vending machine. I’m sure you have heard the no child left behind slogan but I don’t think they were including a nutritional meals program along with that. It is my opinion that if the government is going to complain on national television about the childhood obesity epidemic facing this country then they should do more than they are in making sure that every meal in our public schools which they subsidize is void of enriched white flour, bad fats and sugar laden products.

It would be so much better to see television advertisements evolving around healthy foods that would prevent most of today’s medical problems rather than the current drug company commercials which flood the airways advertising their products that only cover up or delay the diseases which were in most cases created by eating unhealthy foods. I don’t think that I will see that day come in my life but if we as adults don’t start taking more of a role in what we ourselves eat and feed our children then that day will never come. They talk about the health care crises yet do little in my opinion that will ever stop it from getting worse.  Many schools have eliminated gym class from their curriculum, how stupid is that? When I was growing up every kid in the neighborhood was outside playing after school until it was dark. In my neighborhood today there are allot of children but it is a rare sight if you see any of them outside playing anytime at all.

I wrote this article from my heart, it truly hurts me that so many of our children today are suffering from needless obesity. If you are an obese parent and feel offended by this article then do something that will change your life around and get yourself on a healthier track that will help you as well as your children. We all have to make choices in our lives, its one thing if it only affects you but if it includes children then you had better choose the right one because you’re their role model and you set the example their going to follow.

There are a great number of you out there that have good intentions but don’t speak up. We must stand together and be heard, set good examples and reach out to those that need our help. If we all just set around and wait for the problem to go away by itself because we are afraid of hurting someone’s feelings then we are doomed to failure. Our children are far more important than somebody’s feelings, there the future of our country and we cannot stand by and watch them fall prey to poor eating habits. Please take a stand in your home and community by promoting healthy eating habits. If not for you then do it for the children, please don’t let them down, they need us now more than ever.

Learn How to Read Food Labels in Order to Identify Hidden Fats

You may be surprised at what you are really getting when you learn to interpret the words of the ingredients list. When you buy a packaged food in the supermarket you expect to be getting exactly what the manufacturers’ label states in the nutritional value of that item and nothing else, however, some are deceiving. There may actually be man made trans fats unlisted in the nutritional values but are exposed in the ingredients listing and may be discovered if you know the different terminology used for identification.

It’s one thing to read a label; it’s another thing to understand what you’ve read. You could unknowingly be ingesting dangerous fats that will sabotage your goals and you won’t have a clue as to why you are not seeing the results expected. Too many times manufacturers include ingredients that are unhealthy with hopes that you do not take the time to read the label or that you don’t understand the terminology in which they are disclosed.

Hydrogenated fats are responsible for thousands of needless deaths each year in the United States from coronary heart disease. These fats are found in margarines, breads, cakes, cookies and countless other products to extend their shelf life and make them taste better. These dangerous fats are made by taking a liquid polyunsaturated fat and adding hydrogen in presence of a catalyst, thus changing a liquid unsaturated fat into a more solid saturated fat which is now called a Trans fat, the worst of the worst. They are so deadly that some states are banning them from use. It’s ironic that a food manufacturer in this country would allow a substance in a product for extending its shelf life while at the same time know it will shorten yours and mine.

These fats were required to be listed on labels in 2006 but there was some room left for deceiving you as a consumer. If the food contains 0.5 grams or less then they are permitted to say it contains none at all, a statement which I personally feel is nothing short of being lied to. When we are discussing a food product that has such a deadly track record I don’t feel as though there should be any error in reporting the true amount that is actually in that food.

It is recommended that a person should not allow more than 1% of their daily total calorie intake comes from these fats, which for the average person would be about 2 grams. When you realize that one order of French fries can contain up to 8 grams it gives you a small idea of the amount consumed each day by the ordinary person. If you were to eat four different foods on any given day that claimed there were zero Trans fats on the label but actually contained 0.5 grams, which is legal to do so, you would have unknowingly already had your limit for the entire day.

If you see the words partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated oil on the ingredient list then leave that product on the shelf. Life is short enough without cutting it shorter for a few minutes of chewing enjoyment. There are allot of other products that are free of these deadly fats if a person just takes a little time to read the label and familiarize yourself with the wording used that describes the bad ingredients.

Fat Loss Programs Need Some Fat to Be Successful

Telling you that you need to incorporate fat into your daily eating habits probably doesn’t make allot of sense to some of you but that is a fact. If you are trying to lose some extra pounds of fat you’re going to have to include it in your macronutrient mix if you plan on achieving your goal in a healthy manner.

Fat is responsible for many of the body’s organs to function properly and without it they can’t do the job that is required of them. The kidneys need fats to function properly; they use it as an energy source and a cushioning. Adding omega-3 fatty acids will benefit the kidneys and liver which will allow them to process and rid fat from the body. Your fat loss is sabotaged if these organs are not working properly.

You just can’t go without essential fatty acids in your eating plan, there used for energy, by the heart and for proper brain function. Your body needs fats to stay healthy period, they provide the materials for making hormones and carry the fat soluble vitamins A, E, K and D throughout the body.

Fat is considered an energy dense food and you don’t want to over do it with the amount you consume in a day; keep it to 30% or less of your total daily intake. Remember that fat contains 9 calories for every gram you eat verses 4 calories for every gram of a protein or a carbohydrate source.

Don’t do as I did when I began my own program and tried to eat fat free, that is wrong in every way, you have to give your body the nutrients it requires to perform properly. You feed the body the proper foods using the proper macronutrient mix and I assure you that it will take care of the rest.

I personally believe that the best source of information that you can acquire for fat loss and the all important muscle gains that you seek is to become associated with the bodybuilding community, these people have it down to a science, there not the so called “diet” type people that you find pushing that magic pill that is going to make you skinny overnight.

It wasn’t until I joined Will Brink’s program that things really started to turn in my favor by giving me proven techniques that dispelled the myths and misleading thoughts I had imbedded in my head which had me making only short periods of success and even longer periods at a standstill with no progress.

Take it from me; you need some fat in your eating program if you want the body of your dreams. Join a bodybuilding community that has top references and you will get an eye opening experience that will have you on a path of success. I might mention that Will has all the macronutrient ratios ready for you that will set you up for a lifetime of permanent fat loss, believe me, I’ve been there and remain a member to this day.

New Year Resolutions

Well we are into a new year again and as is custom, new years resolutions are already being forgotten. I hope you’re not among them.
If you did make one I hope that you didn’t decide to call it a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. You cannot stay on a diet for life but a lifestyle change will allow you to change your eating habits to something that you will be able to live with for life and not feel deprived of anything.
This is something that is going to take some organizing to implement but once that part is accomplished your going to start seeing changes in yourself that will inspire you on.
I don’t like the word diet because it reminds me of depriving myself of the food, now on the other hand if you say that you’re going to change your lifestyle and become healthier that means your going to continue eating allot of food, possibly even more that you’re currently consuming but the difference being that now the foods will be nutrient dense and supplying the body with muscle building fat burning fuel. The fact is that dieting does not set you up for permanent fat loss. The truth is that the less food you eat the more the body wants to hold onto its fat stores. Crash diets produce mainly water and muscle loss and very little fat loss.

The Gift of Health and Fitness

You know, I can’t think of any better gift for someone than that of a lifetime of health and fitness. Did you ever stop and think for a moment how you would feel about yourself if you were the one responsible for turning someones life around and putting them on the road to a lifestyle of healthy living, watching them reach their goals they set, helping motivate them, well you can do it and I’ll tell you, there is nothing like it. My own son has watched me reach my goals over the past three years and has become involved in bodybuilding himself and is now setting and reaching goals of his own. I’m very proud of him for his commitment and must say I feel pretty good about myself for being able to set the example, we now motivate one another, what a feeling!   I was inspired and taught by some of the best teachers and motivators in the bodybuilding and nutrition world and that is Will Brink and Hugo Rivera. Both men have what it takes to be leaders in their fields, they make everything easy to understand and most of all they tell you what works and what doesn’t and why, they leave nothing out. If you are interested in changing your lifestyle or someone you know, there would not be a better gift than a membership to Will Brink’s or Hugo Rivera’s programs, they will change your life forever.

Organic Whole Grain Spelt Flour

I have been getting allot of e-mails on where I get my spelt flour from so I ask permission from the health food store that I get it from if I could mention their name and they said it was ok. There web site is at www.healthbychoice.net they carry so many good products at their facility that they are, in my opinion, one of the best health food stores that I ever had the privilege of going into. I think you will be pleased with their service, I know that I am.
